Through our partnership with MUHSEN and the Islamic Center of Detroit, which is one of the first masjid (mosque) in Michigan to be MUHSEN-certified, we provide weekly American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for Friday sermons (Khutbah Jumu’ah) and for select classes organized by MY-ICD.

Every year, My Mental Wellness organizes Eid fairs for families with children who have special needs. We also host other events such as respite trainings, art therapy, and character meet and greets for this community.

One of our goals is to bring the conversation regarding special needs to the community. At the Islamic Center of Detroit, we have quarterly sermons (Jumuah Khutbah) to break the stigma against those who have additional needs.
